The Picea Glauca Perfecta is probably better known as a White Spruce and makes an incredibly popular Christmas tree. Where space is at a premium, this little plant makes the ideal small Christmas tree.
As this Picea Glauca is grown in its pot, it will happily sit in it throughout the festive season adorned with a string or two of tinsel. When it’s time to pack away all the decorations, this versatile little tree is ideal for sitting in British gardens. You can plant it in a boarder to add some depth or leave it in its container so you can bring it back indoors next year.
This white spruce will maintain is cone shape as it grows and won’t usually grow much taller than 5ft (150cm) or get much wider than 2ft (60cm)
Like any real Christmas tree, you’ll need to keep it comfortable if you bring it indoors. Make sure it’s well watered but not waterlogged. If possible, don’t sit it next to any heat sources like a radiator of fire and it will prefer as much natural light as possible to pop it near a window.
A great little plant as a small Christmas tree, for areas that don’t have too much space.
This plant is then ideal to go back out in the garden planted in a border or in a container, as it is fully hardy.
The growth habitat is conical and grows about 150cm tall and 60cm wide.
If brought indoors for to use as a Christmas tree it is important the tree does not dry out.
