A classical clematis, with magenta 10-12cm (4-5in) wide roundish flowers.

The broad tepals are overlapping, tapering to a point with crimpled margins.

The anthers are greenish cream.

A very colourful flower.

It flowers best when grown in full sun where the stems can be ripened.
