The Amaryllis ‘Gervase’ (Hippeastrum) produces large red anthers growing from pale pink flowers with rich-magenta highlights randomly streaked.

This gift pack includes a ‘Gervase’ bulb, pot and compost, flowering during the winter months.

Easy to grow, simply place the compost pellet in a suitable mixing container and add 350ml of lukewarm water. Leave it to expand for thirty minutes to one hour and then mix the compost well before use. Half fill the container provided, place the bulb in the pot and fill around it, leaving a third of the bulb showing.

This flower is happiest when planted in direct sunlight at room temperature. The ‘Gervase’ will then bloom around 8 weeks after planting in winter or early spring. You may need to support the stem as it grows and as the flowers bloom.

To extend the flowering period, we recommend moving this amaryllis to a cooler position once the flowers start to show.
