This Amaryllis ‘Marilyn’ (Premium Indoor Growing Kit Gift Pack) bulb comes with everything you need to get started including a suitable pot and a dehydrated peat-free compost pellet.

‘Marilyn’ is a charming flowering Hippeastrum, more commonly known as an amaryllis, which blooms into thick, double flowers of creamy white.

Flowering during the winter months providing a much needed source of uplifting colour, this pretty amaryllis is perfect for lighting up a space at home and because it comes boxed, will make for a wonderful living gift.

Easy to grow, simply place the compost pellet in a suitable mixing container and add 350ml of lukewarm water. Leave it to expand for thirty minutes to one hour and then mix the compost well before use. Half fill the container provided, place the bulb in the pot and fill around it, leaving a third of the bulb showing.

This variety is happiest when planted in direct sunlight at room temperature. Flowers will appear between December and March, depending on when you planted the bulb and will last for approximately 3 weeks. You may need to support the stem as it grows and as the flowers bloom.

To extend the flowering period, we recommend moving this amaryllis to a cooler position once the flowers start to show.
