We have been given this as a Christmas present but there no instructions. We tried putting it out in the sun but it doesnt light up at night. What form of light should be introduced, tealights, Christmas tree lights, or other? Is the glass likely to crack if heat is put inside? Thank you for any help you can give us, John

Good Morning,

This product is designed for you to add your own light inside, and doesn't contain any light up element built in. You can use real candles to light the lantern, or even battery powered tea lights and fairy lights.
