Product Details

A perfect pollinator approved species with deep blue bonnets of blooms on long thin stems to create a delicate display throughout early to mid summer. A perennial variety that is ideal for creating an attractive cottage garden, rockery displays, striking borders and stunning cut flowers.

Sow indoors for best results from February until June in a seed tray of fine, quality compost. Sow seeds evenly spaced out approx. 0.5cm deep, water well and place into a cold frame, unheated greenhouse or windowsill. Continue to water until the seedlings appear, germination can take between 3 to 6 weeks. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, separate each young plant into 7.5cm pots ready to acclimatise to the outdoors. Plants can be transplanted where they are to flower from June to October, spacing out by 30cm. Alternatively sow seeds directly outdoors from April until June, thinning out as they grow. These perennial flowers will bloom from May until July the following year, and each year after that.

Allow plants to self-seed for further plants each year.

Can cause irritation to hands and eyes.
